Love Letters (not really)
Nosy McNoserson: Is that a LOVE letter on your board? FROM YOUR BOYFRIEND?
Me: Ummm...no. It's an apology letter from someone who had a hard time in music...
Curious little bystander: Ms. Sobers, you gotta boyfriend?
Me: No.
Loud bystander (shouting): OOOOOOO, stop lying Ms. Sobers! You are too pretty not to have a boyfriend!
Me: Um, was that a compliment?
Loud bystander (still shouting): YES!
THERE'S A TICK ON THE FLOOR!
"You know Ms. S, you may want to wash your hair later...if there are ticks in here they could be in the ceiling and fall in your hair". #curlyhairproblems
When a kid admits they don't like school...
"How could anyone not like school? It's like the most funnest place EVER!"No, it's not an Easter Egg hunt...
"So over the break, my nana is gonna do this thing where she hides some eggs...and well, some are real eggs, but some are plastic. And guess what? They have candy inside. I love candy. Except the kinds with peanuts, cause me and my brother are allergic."Excited girl: We are having a money hunt!
Me: So is that like an Easter egg hunt...but with money?
Excited girl: No. My mom hides some eggs, and some of the eggs have candy. But some have MONEY! And one year, me and my friend had a money hunt and we found a thousand million monies!
I can totally see how a money hunt is nothing like an Easter egg hunt. Whatever it is...sign me up for this money hunt thing ASAP. I could definitely use a thousand million monies.
CANDY? Gross...
So today, a student told me that she doesn't like candy...Me: That's good. It's bad for your teeth anyway, and I have this weird thing about teeth.
Candy Hater: Like what?
Me: Like, I have dreams that they are falling out. I know, it's weird.
Candy hater: You aren't the only one. I had a dream that I was on the Island of misfit toys and a dentist was chasing me in a yacht trying to steal my teeth.
Me: We are totally the same person.
Happy Birthday! How old are you?
"I'll just say you're 137 since that's your room number.""Are you 13? We know you're a teenager."
"Guys, stop asking. She's 34. She looks like she's my mom's age."
"She looks younger than my mom, so she can't be 30"
"I bet she's 40."
